Interesting. I would never have considered some of those to be pejorative, particularly the word "silly".
It appears that "silly" was initially a positive word, then it acquired a harsher meaning over time. But it doesn't - to me at least - carry any overtones of actual disability or differently-abledness. Perhaps I'm missing something?
