I spent a few months developing this app: https://deepnest.io https://deepnest.io where I have a "pay what you want" model. Currently it has a conversion rate of 2.08%, with average payment of $28.73 totalling 1,556.00 in the past month. In terms of income it's really not great, as I imagine actual commercial software in this space is making much more than that. I guess it really depends on how much you value money vs having people use your software or other ancillary benefits.
