- jsnell 8y agoTitles can be at most 80 characters long, and this one is currently right at the limit. Given the number of small changes, clearly the submitter was cutting everything they could to get to 80 characters :) If you can suggest a rewrite, maybe the mods will change the title.
- hyperpape 8y agoMurdered man found when non-local tree grew from seed in his stomach ("non-local" is admittedly a bit funny sounding. Alternatives: "non-native tree", "unusual tree", "unexpected tree").
- SimeVidas 8y ago“Murder victim discovered after giving birth to unusual tree”
- BonesJustice 8y agoThat’s some irresistible clickbait right there. Bravo!
- adrianmonk 8y ago"Course of murder investigation follows unusual root."
- ebullientocelot 8y agoOut Of Place Tree Leads Researcher To Find Murder Victim He was blown up by dynamite.. not super clear that his stomach was all that intact.
- close04 8y agoHe wasn't necessarily blown apart by the explosion, although that would have given the seed the highest chance of surviving (instead of slowly disintegrating inside the stomach). The shockwave inside a cave can be a pretty deadly thing even if you are behind cover. He could even have been killed by something as minute as a ruptured blood vessel in the brain.
- sctb 8y agoOK, we've updated it from “Murder body found after tree unusual for the area grew from seed in his stomach”.
