    Stay in one place long enough to see a few cycles and you’ll get nice and jaded. Today’s old and shitty was yesterday’s “proper way”. It can change in only a year or two. “Global” refractors always end unfinished and the code worse for the wear. Local refractors in code your touching anyways tend to work great though. Since your changing it you’ve built enough understanding to refactor it correctly.
