Is your experience typical? I've noticed the opposite trend, myself.
- maxxxxx 8y agoI don't know if it's typical but I hear it a lot from other programmers my age.
- christophilus 8y agoMaybe I’ve lucked out, but my 18 years of working in this industry has mostly been: “Here’s a problem. Go solve it, please.” And almost as often, it’s been, “We don’t know the exact problem, come help us find it and solve it.”
- mercer 8y agoSame here. I've had some projects with aforementioned negative experience, but usually it's been as you describe.
