Sourcegraph CEO here (and author of a comment in the link + contributor to https://github.com/sourcegraph/go-langserver https://github.com/sourcegraph/go-langserver). The idea is that with a Go language server becoming a core part of Go, it will have a lot more resources invested into it and it will surpass where https://github.com/sourcegraph/go-langserver https://github.com/sourcegraph/go-langserver is now.
