Most of the criticisms I hear are against the current system. Specifically, I hear many criticisms of "free market" healthcare and finance, among others. All of which are ironically the most regulated and checked industries. I hear people blame "deregulation" for the financial crisis, when in reality government regulations and policies misaligning incentives hold a majority of the responsibility.
