there's a sizeable population of different political opinions in the hacking (both sec and non-sec) community. Sounds like the author is a libertarian or anarchist of some kind. When I was more involved in said community about 10 years ago, anti-authoritarian stances like these were the norm, so attempting to exclude people with these views is going to mean excluding a lot of people.
