Angular allows you to create your own HTML elements that cannot be used without the Javascript accompanying the page. That seems similar to AMP to me: AMP is a (very) opinionated framework that provides a set of HTML elements. It can run in any browser.[1] Like Angular, AMP is a Google project. Why does your criticism of AMP ("replacement of HTML" "shocking land grab of influence") not also apply to Angular? Maybe your objection is more about the CDN or presentation in Google search? I'm genuinely confused by the strong reaction AMP seems to elicit. [1] https://www.ampproject.org/support/faqs/supported-browsers https://www.ampproject.org/support/faqs/supported-browsers
