I realized early in my management career that I should keep coding, but I should a) never let it interfere with my management duties and b) should only be for non-critical path stuff. I focused on quality of life type improvements such as sprucing up a dashboard used by ops personal, refining the CI/CD process, simple utilities to extract/transform data, etc. Another key requirement and benefit is that by letting your team do the "real" work, you're showing your trust and letting them grow.
The place where I continued to actively participate was in architectural and system level planning discussions. In that capacity, it was to mostly ask questions, ensure focus on objectives, and very occasionally offer advice. It's mostly facilitation and mentorship.
