Some weeks ago I replaced my long-closed Twitter and Facebook accounts with an RSS feed: https://rinzewind.org/shared.xml https://rinzewind.org/shared.xml. Given that 99 % of what I was doing there was share articles, this works pretty much the same (and it's troll-free!)
