What is the scientific definition of a vegetable?
- eftychis 8y agoCulinary: Edible part of a plan that is not, or does not contain seeds (i.e. not a fruit). Biology/Botanology: does not exist. Only the definition of fruit is of interest. Thus something that a cook would call a vegetable are classified into finer categories (e.g. leaves, roots etc).
