The newspapers I read tend to get things right at least in my area of expertise. Even when they reported on events or initiatives I was directly involved in, they got the (sometimes incharitable) facts right. The ones that don't, I don't read. It does seem strange to continue reading a source that gets things wrong all the time. A friend's commentary on those: "Just consider them entertainment. Some readers want to be entertained in ways reality can't offer them."
