- cycrutchfield 8y agoI think it’s pretty central to the question of why there is no European Google or Facebook or Netflix, etc.
- TomMarius 8y agoProbably because even Google isn't able to get searching in some EU languages right. People in Europe also have less money than people in the USA, most people still frown upon spending that money on Netflix or Spotify to this day.
- checkyoursudo 8y agoI have a hard time believing that a reason there is no Swiss Google, or German Facebook, or Swedish Netflix, etc cetera, is because they aren't innovative enough because they aren't efficient enough. I have worked for and with some German and Scandinavian companies, and inefficiency is not a complaint that I would throw at them. Neither is lack of innovation. YMMV, I guess.
