Ask HN: Immigrate from US to EU?

There was a thread asking the reverse. Since US is still the number one destination for immigrants, there is a lot of documentation and help available (though the rules keep changing often and are unclear to begin with). What about the reverse? Has anyone moved from US to EU (or from other places to EU)? If yes, where in EU? Can you talk about your experience?
