I think that is not always true and stepping back could be a benefit sometimes. There were moments when I had to get back to my code and I realized that it could be done in a better/more simple way. Distractions force me to write code in a way such that I can switch back to it very easily. But a twist is that I really hate it when I am being distracted. :)
