  It is. And, FWIW, Russian bots/trolls/whatever seem to have been as equally active in pushing left wing issues as right wing issues.

    But "the rise of populism and extremism" can equally well apply to the left. My personal opinion is that the economic crisis make things worse, and made a lot of people discontent with the current system, but that Russia has been very busily trying to make them more discontent, and trying to push them either to the right or left extreme. The concerns are real, the problems are real, but the trolling is making things considerably worse in terms of political stability.
