  Most of us do, just the fanboys are louder and more rabid.

  As a developer you want to target only on phone, and you then want that phone to have as wide a market-share as possible, so you will have more people who can buy your app. As a user, you want to buy only one phone and then want that phone to have as wide a market-share as possible so there will be more apps for it. As a competing phone manufacture you are outnumbered, so it doesn't matter what you want.
