Hell, in my experience, Kitty seems to have the most powerful font management of any terminal. That's because the machine you're SSHing into doesn't have Kitty's terminfo files. That's easily fixed by running "kitty +kitten ssh myserver" where "myserver" is the IP/domain of your server.
