Really needs a TL;DR
- city41 16y agoDoes the "TL;DR" sentiment really belong at HN at all? I'd like to think this community is above that. The whole thrust of the site is about/for people who aren't interested in taking the easy way out.
- marilyn 16y agoI always appreciate the efforts of HN'ers who post a TL;DR summary. It's less about taking the easy way out, and more about saving time.
- raganwald 16y agoIn that case, why is tertius asking for a summary? If a summary is a good idea, the keyboard can be found between tertius' chair and screen ;-)
- Detrus 16y agowe just need an automated way to extract that information so it doesn't clutter the comments.
- dctoedt 16y ago> we just need an automated way to extract that information Figure out that one and the world will beat a path to your door .... BTW, timing is everything, I guess - this was posted by justinweiss a couple of weeks ago as http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=1733702 http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=1733702 (thank you Better HN extension for Google Chrome at http://goo.gl/PcMz http://goo.gl/PcMz).
- silvajoao 16y agoIt was a sort of TL;DR of a 12 years career. Highly condensed wisdom.
- Herring 16y agoIt's like one of those "you know you're a bad programmer if.." quizzes. It doesn't say anything you don't already know, & it's just playing on peoples insecurities.
