- toolslive 8y agoThe CIA have been known to try to influence the elections in foreign countries. Declassified documents show they were doing it in the 1960s https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salvador_Allende#US_involvement https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salvador_Allende#US_involvemen... Obviously, things require a more subtle strategy these days.
