They could also put some effort into improving their interview false negative rate.

The current interview discourages people from being upfront on their weaknesses (try saying I am a little bit rusty on AWS or any other popular topic and see what happens -- I purposely call out my weaknesses because I would rather "over-deliver" when I am hired.). The interview process often focuses on looking for reasons to reject rather than evaluating strengths vs. weaknesses.
