  That works OK for gossip. But how does it solve the problem of keeping government honest? This was noted in the second paragraph of the article: Without journalists digging through property records or attending city council meetings, looking for official wrongdoing and revealing secret deals, local politicians will operate unchecked—with predictable consequences.
