I know someone who now works at Huawei, which is 1.5 hours by shuttle from where he lives in Beijing. Typically gets there 8am and leaves 7-8pm. He used to work at Alibaba which was 30 mins from his house. I asked why he changed and he said at Alibaba he didn't get home before midnight most days. Of course overtime is not paid...
