I'd be more worried about getting stabbed by the average low empathy xenophobe than the average asylum seeker fleeing violence. Should we remove xenophobes from Germany? No? Vetting people and holding them accountable for their actions is one thing, but closing borders outright to me is just hysteria. I doubt such cruelty is going to make the world a safer place in the long term, either. The average person remembers who was kind in their time of need and who was not.
