There's no shame in wanting to differ from the status quo maintained since time immemorial, but don't pressure others into it.
Valid?
- Spivak 8y agoI don't think so, at least not completely. The message should be to treat others as individuals and not impose societal expectations on others. Don't assume that the default or expected role for a woman is to be supporting and passive. And don't look down on a woman who still wants to assume that role.
