The DUH makes shitloads of money by side-stepping elected bodies to enforce policies that are highly symbolic and known to change exactly nothing. Next step will be Otto engines, then EVs, then ...?
The actual cause is that currently Everyone has to move to the big cities I'd imagine lots of Berlin Hipsters would not be so complacent once the DUH sues them because their Altbauwohnung wastes precious space and energy and pollutes the city air.
- adrianN 8y agoThe actual cause is having too many cars in cities. This trend has been obvious since the nineties at least. Why didn't the government act to reduce the need of cars in cities? Nobody likes bans for Diesels, but the people responsible sat on their hands instead of implementing plans that don't disproportionally affect poorer people who drive older cars.
