This has been my experience too. I've been an exclusive Vim user (except for Java and Scala, for which I used IntelliJ with the excellent IdeaVim plugin) for over a decade. VS Code is the first editor where the benefit added outweighs the small losses brought by leaving my carefully manicured .vimrc. There's one thing I wish I could figure out (I haven't really put that much work into it, so I'm sure there's a fix): is there a way to bind "<<" to "move text left without losing the current selection"?
