As a user I hate AMP. I find myself on a website I want to share and go to copy the link so I can share it, andd...surprise! It's NOT the canonical link, but a Google Amp link. I wanted to share the post to a desktop. So now I have to find my way out of this AMP hole just to share a website. Personally I could care less about "speed improvements." If the site loads slow I'll juat skip it. Amp existing to help that happen less doesn't really affect me. I probably waste too much time surfing anyway; maybe I WANT to filter slow websites on my own (by ending my search/session).
