Is gentrification really a problem? (2016)
- pizzazzaro 8y agoHooray for bougie magazines' dated attempts to skirt the issue - broke folk need an affordable place to live too. And while gentrification my put a nicer veneer on the town, it also raises the rent enough to push out the people who formed the culture of an area. And that is often the thing which made such an area gentrifiable in the first place - the culture. Is anyone gentrifying Detroit yet?
