I'm always stunned by the confidence with which forensic analysts state their conclusions (or is it just the journalists portraying them?). For other professions (doctors, archaeologists, even mathematics if you think of the crisis in the early 20th century) time has showed us that such confidence is not appropriate and the interpretation of the facts can change considerably.
