Most companies will replace a faulty device with a new one or fix it if it's broken due to manufacturing issues. Maybe the price should be increased a bit to allow for further testing. If you have an issue the solution shouldn't be to throw it away and buy a new one, that's incredibly wasteful and it encourages bad behavior by the manufacturer.
