I have to echo this. Utah is really booming, although home prices here are exploding as well (nowhere near as high as SV, but rapidly increasing) because of the burgeoning tech scene. Every once in a while I will entertain solicitations from SV/Seattle recruiters for 2x+ the money and then realize I would be worse off financially than just staying in SLC.
