I've heard a lot of dealerships are relying heavily on maintenance for their incoming even such things as Toyota dealerships which are know for low maintenance and high reliability.
- Johnny555 8y agoWhen dealers charge $450 for a regular 15K mile service, it's not hard to make a living even with just routine maintenance. Many car owners are afraid to go anywhere besides the dealer for routine maintenance 'lest they void their warranty (which is not the case, but that doesn't stop dealers from raking in money from those people).
