I still have a real soft-spot for the Phantom, as a kid growing up the RAAF used them (along with the F-111's). I remember seeing one pass overhead pretty low while we were out on the boat fishing, and immediately made me want to go down an air force career. Then I went blind and decided if I couldn't fly a jet, then meh, I'd do something different.
