Ask HN: Are there any UI Interaction language standards?

The closest I could find is gherkin language - http://docs.behat.org/en/v2.5/guides/1.gherkin.html. I am looking for some standard that is available with which writing Acceptance criteria / feature automation testing can be expressed. If something is based on a standard I believe we can code it up so that it can generate the code for us. For example, Lets say I need to build a cooler picker component. Using the standard I’ll start expressing the behaviour of the component and develop it. If I can develop something based on a standard, I hope a computer program can also do the same.
