A friend of my relative who is a Sales-tax officer had tons of cash(most of it illegal) in his home. His entire night was spent calling his friends and requesting them to take a part of his cash for some time. There are many such cases across India. Personally, I do think Demonetization was a failure but that's because shifting of goal-posts and not because it achieved nothing.
