How does the author of the article know that the pieces he is uploading are free from Copyright globally ? There could be a distributor somewhere outside of the US who still has publication rights on those recordings. With classical music the arrangement, performance and even who conducted it can be copyrighted regardless if the original composition is in the 'public domain' or not.
- AstralStorm 8y agoUnfortunately, unless this is an exact rip of one, there will be false positives on performances. A lot of them. You can try to weigh the importance of performance of the filter based on number of extant performances themselves but it is not perfect and hard to bootstrap.
