I'm retired early, but mainly because I got lucky in bitcoin. I'd suggest retiring to Asia. You can live a lot cheaper here. My thinking is as technology progresses, the gap between the life styles of the poor and the rich will continue to decrease. If all we do is spend our day staring at screens and phones, and one day wearing VR goggles, what does it matter what car you drive, how big your place is, or whether you live in a big city or out in the countryside (or in another country, in my case)?
