To clarify, in US even debit cards are primarily Visa or Mastercard, whereas in Europe they're not. E.g. Norway uses BankAxept: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BankAxept https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BankAxept

  And in Sweden we use Mastercard and Visa.
