There aren't a lot of barriers to entry in the ride-hailing market. Want to ride with another service? It's just another app. Want to drive for one more service in addition to the rest? Again, just another app that sends notifications. If Uber and/or Lyft get a monopoly and then jack up prices, they won't have a monopoly for long.
