- cco 8y agoI presume you'd be lying with your feet pointed towards the front of the plane and the bunks would have a solid footboard. Perhaps elderly and disabled people might have an issue during braking but most people wouldn't have any issues I don't think.
- schoen 8y agoI wouldn't think passengers would be lying down during take-off and landing (although maybe that's tricky if the bunks can't turn into seats).
- jonknee 8y agoSimilar to tray tables up, they wake you up before landing. It would be no different than the current lay flat seats. Though I guess it would be an issue if there were no seats at all, but I don't see that ever happening (having to lay down the whole time would also be rough!).
- isostatic 8y agoAnd where would you sit? They put an extra 40 seats on a plane, increasing from say 180 to 220 in economy, because they expect to sell them If you want a seat and a bed, that's possible. Buy first class. If you want a seat that changes into a bed, that's also possible - but business. If you want a seat that has more legroom, more width, and better food, buy premium economy. If you want the cheapest way to safely travel, buy economy. Just don't expect a tesla roadster for the cost of a Citroen c1
