Just today I noticed Google serves a different version of search to Firefox on Android when compared to Chrome. It is missing some features and harder to use. Apparently the fix is to change your useragent string so Google will give you the full version [1]. FWIW, you call the version served to Fx "ugly", and I'd call it "bullshit-free". Nevertheless, it's still surprising.

It's a good enough reason to switch to DuckDuckGo or StartPage (if you don't mind that they still use Google in background, though in anonymous way).
