- antidesitter 8y agoYup. Whereas rotations involve two spatial directions (the plane of rotation), a Lorentz boost involves a spatial direction and a temporal direction. Also, the analogue of a rotation angle for a Lorentz boost is a rapidity (hyperbolic angle).
