While I completely understand your decision to pull it; both their decision to flex their legal arm and your decision to not stand your ground are equally disappointing.
- g3rv4 8y agoI guess... I'm sorry? and I'll try to do better next time, I promise.
- phailhaus 8y agoHow dare you choose not to put yourself in legal jeopardy for the sake of random people on the internet! Please feel free to ignore everyone here. You made a Cool Thing, it didn't work out, whatever. You'll probably make more Cool Things in the future and I hope they'll stick!
- g3rv4 8y ago<3 thanks :) yes, it’s particularly hard because I’ve never disappointed anyone before :P
- iamthirsty 8y ago> I'll try to do better next time, I promise. Not to be mean, but there isn't a next time. You could still stand you ground now — you haven't removed it yet, and still don't have to.
- castis 8y agoAlthough you owe me nothing, if this were possible, an apology wouldn't be necessary.
- _emacsomancer_ 8y agoI don't think we need people who can actually create things to waste time in bureaucratic legal battles. Go make other things; there's obviously no way to make Slack better.
- caffeinewriter 8y agoI completely understand the decision to not stand their ground. Going up against Slack means going up against a multi-billion dollar company, and potentially all the legal firepower that entails. Even if every monetary cost were covered, there's still the time and opportunity cost of dealing with legal headaches.
- castis 8y agoOh I understand the legal implications of doing so. It is possible to both understand something and be disappointed at the same time.
- buckminster 8y agoHave you stopped using Slack?
