I am not sure if I understand your question. If a macro expansion violates typing rule then you get a compile time error of course.. is it a question about the quality og error messages?
- weberc2 8y agoCrafting good macro error messages is really hard. Naively, they point into the expansion which is user-hostile. It's a fair bit easier (though still difficult) with certain implementations of generics.
