When I was working at Google in 2005ish it was briefly my job to port Dodgeball(1) from an existing PHP codebase to Java on Google infrastructure. It was SO NICE that this library already existed. It made a decent chunk of my work significantly easier. I didn't know much about S2 geometry before I discovered the library. It was a lot of fun to dive in and learn how it all worked. Nice to see that it's all open sourced now. 1. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dodgeball_(service) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dodgeball_(service)
