I read the related article about Postgres SELECTs causing writes sometimes - I've used Postgres for years and never knew this! Anyway, I spend most of my time in the software world and occasionally have to setup hardware (or more commonly, diagnose hardware issues). Is there a good guide for how to setup things like Postgres or Redis with recommendations on swap/cache setup, RAID-level selection, etc?
