Exactly. I like the idea of having VSCodium as an option but I don’t have an urging need to use this fork since just removing a license and telemetry endpoints doesn’t really add any value compared to the official package.
- rambojazz 8y agoIt doesn't look like a fork to me. It only seems to be a build script for building VS (and possibly remove some anti-features).
- hiccuphippo 8y agoRemoving telemetry adds a lot of value. To each its own, I guess.
- GordonS 8y agoIt would add value if VSCode didn't allow you to disable it and didn't document what data was sent - but it is documented, and it's trivial to disable it if you choose to do so. I don't see the point of this.
