Realistically, things don't change around you in a matter of days. They usually take years. Harari is saying that you may need to jump ship several times in your life, dumping your past skills. You will need to retool and go into hitherto unfamiliar areas when the signs appear. Recognizing the signs is what one needs to learn.
- cryptozeus 8y agoRight. In adition the speed of change has also increased so earlier you could be in one job for 20 years doing the same thing but that is not going to be the case in future.
